66 upgrade cards
Drawn three at a time, they stack into something specific rather than just bigger numbers. Every card you find goes into the Codex.
Hold the line, or the realm falls.

The game
You pick a hero and walk into a field that's filling with monsters.
Your weapon swings on its own, so what you're really controlling is where you stand — funnelling the horde, staying out of the middle of it, and spending your abilities at the moment they're worth the most.
Kills drop experience. Experience means a level, and a level means three cards: a wider swing, a second blink charge, a poison that spreads on death.
You take one every thirty seconds or so, and by the end you're doing something the hero flatly could not do at the start.
Every round ends with a boss. Survive it and the next one starts harder.
Die — and you will — and whatever you earned buys permanent upgrades in the Sanctum before the next attempt.
Runs are short. Losing one is the normal outcome.
A taste of glory

Four heroes · four ways to fight
What's in the vault
Every run is a new build. Every death makes the next one go deeper.
Drawn three at a time, they stack into something specific rather than just bigger numbers. Every card you find goes into the Codex.
Each class has its own tree to unlock new abilities and a companion. Reset it whenever you like.
Twenty rounds, twenty bosses, each with its own attacks. Survive one and the ground opens into the next realm.
Couch co-op for two, with revives and shared level-ups. Play online with a friend through Steam Remote Play Together.
Whatever you die with becomes Realm Crystals, spent on permanent upgrades that make the next run deeper, not merely easier.
Four difficulty tiers with elite enemies, then an Endless mode where the realms loop and never stop getting stronger.
One continuous run across four realms. Your build carries from one to the next — so does the horde.

Slimes, goblin warbands and the Blightwood Colossus.

Emberlings, hellhounds and the Infernal Lord.

Mummies, golems, the Sunken Pharaoh and Anubis.

Oni, tengu, kitsune and Yama, Judge of Death.
Things that want you dead
Each round introduces a new family of monsters, and ends with the one in charge of it.
Friends you unlock
Every hero can unlock a companion in their skill tree, a small ally who joins the fight.

Warrior
A spark that never goes out.
